Michael Heavens, the visionary founder, CEO, and Commander General of The Guardian Corps, was born in Army Barracks, Jaji, Kaduna. His father, Adekunle Okuneye, a retired Master Warrant Officer, instilled in him a deep respect for the discipline and prestige of military life. When his family relocated to Lagos due to his father’s military posting at NAFRC barracks, Michael found himself immersed in the environment he had come to admire.
In 2008, driven by his academic interests, Michael traveled to the U.S. on a student visa to pursue studies in chemistry, biology, and a minor in business administration. His commitment to service led him to enlist in the U.S. Army in 2013, serving at Fort Carson, Colorado. With a wealth of experience from elite units like the U.S. Special Forces and Israeli Special Operations, Michael’s expertise in security, surveillance, counterterrorism, and executive security forms the foundation of The Guardian Corps’ ethos.
At the helm of The Guardian Corps, Michael’s leadership sets a standard of professionalism and reliability within an industry where trust is of paramount importance. His commitment to excellence is further underscored by his specialized training in security strategies and tactics from U.S. law enforcement agencies, as well as his completion of executive security training at the prestigious Pacific West Academy in California, USA.
